This formula explicits one of the foundation stones of the Buddha's teaching: a subjective version of the law of cause and effect, that reminds us that we have no choice but being responsible for our deeds, that we have to patiently accept and endure the results of our past deeds, whether we are able to remember them or not, and that allows us to understand that generating negativity on account of others' deeds is completely inappropriate. |
